Kira has taught at the University of Toronto and the University of Southern Bohemia. Before becoming a teacher, she travelled extensively while working as a flight attendant with Lufthansa German Airlines.
Her teaching interests include researching classroom dynamics and developing multimedia pedagogical aids. At CityU, she has worked closely with the Practical Langauge Activities team and led several interactive workshops. She has recently received an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University Of Hong Kong.
