James is the Coordinator of the English Language Mentoring Scheme (ELMS). His professional interests include helping students to learn independently, developing interactive learning materials, and using lyrics and poetry in the classroom.

Jim is also a member of the Self Access Centre's Language Learning Advisors' team. His specific area of expertise and interest for language learning advising are essay writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation and reading comprehension.
